Philosophy Talk: Can Architecture Be Political?

Vladimir Kulić, Professor and David Lingle Faculty Fellow at the Department of Architecture at Iowa State University was a guest on the Philosophy Talk podcast, hosted by Stanford professors Joshua Landy and Ray Briggs. Kulic, editor of Toward a Concrete Utopia: Architecture in Yugoslavia, 1948–1980, addressed, “Can Architecture be Political?” The conversation delved into the association of different architectural styles with different ideologies and explored the evolving social purposes of historical structures over time.
