Dariya Orlova releases study on war reporting in Ukraine

Dr. Dariya Orlova, Senior Lecturer and media researcher at the Mohyla School of Journalism and former CREEES Visiting Professor, co-published an article on the media's coverage of the war in Ukraine in 2014. The article, entitled, "Journalism in the Crossfire," comparatively studied the mainstream media's approaches and perceptions in four countries: Sweden, Ukraine, Russia, and Poland.  The researchers found that war reporting was impacted by various factors, including the political-historical context of each country, the journalistic culture in each state, and self-censorship.
