The Estonian Television Girls’ Choir is one of the top youth choirs in the world. The choir has collaborated with many renowned Estonian composers, including Arvo Pärt and Veljo Tormis, and appeared at a number of international conferences, symposiums, and festivals and won numerous prizes and awards.

The choir represents the tiny European nation of Estonia with long-lasting singing traditions, among them the song festival Laulupidu. The choir, conducted since its birth by Aarne Saluveer, has grown out from the Children’s Television Music Studio that was founded in 1990.

The choir's repertoire ranges from spiritual and secular music of different ages to folk programs with choreography, modern pop and jazz music, and innovative crossover projects with 30 singers taking part, all this summing up to a musical experience of undiscovered acoustic scenery.

During the hour-long outdoor concert at Stanford (Meyer Green), the choir will perform classic Estonian pieces by Veljo Tormis, Cyrillus Kreek, Mart Saar, Pärt Uusberg, and Karin Kuulpak as well as a few surprise pieces selected from the rich American music tradition.
