CREEES faculty member, Michael McFaul, discusses Russia and the U.S. election

CREEES-affiliated faculty member, Michael McFaul, Professor of Political Science, Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, and former US Ambassador to Russia, appeared on MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show on October 5, 2016 to discuss the policies of presidential candidate Donald Trump and his running mate, Governor Mike Pence towards Russia. McFaul argued that Pence and Trump's positions on Russia were not only substantially different but "diametrically opposed" to each other, and called these fundamental differences "a recipe for disaster in terms of American national security."
